FAQ
Pain Free Remover™ is a monitor pad removal system designed to assist in the comfortable removal of adhesive monitoring electrodes commonly used in hospitals, clinics, and testing facilities.
Many monitoring electrodes are designed with strong adhesives to keep them securely attached during patient movement and extended monitoring. While this helps ensure reliable monitoring, removal can sometimes be uncomfortable.
No. Pain Free Remover™ is formulated using a naturally derived oil-based solution and is designed to assist in the gentle removal of monitoring electrodes. When used as directed, the solution helps loosen the adhesive bond, reducing the need to pull or tear the electrode from the skin.
Monitor electrodes attached over body hair can be particularly uncomfortable to remove. Pain Free Remover™ helps loosen the adhesive bond, reducing the amount of pulling required and allowing the electrode to be removed more gradually and comfortably.
The removal solution is oil-based and may leave a light residue on the skin. Any remaining residue can typically be washed away with soap and water.
Pain Free Remover™ uses a naturally derived oil-based removal solution designed to assist with the release of adhesive monitoring electrodes.
One kit contains enough solution to remove up to 6-8 standard monitoring electrodes when used as directed.
Begin with the easiest pad first to become familiar with the removal process. Once comfortable with the technique, continue removing the remaining electrodes one at a time.
Pain Free Remover™ was developed for monitoring electrodes, but the removal method may also be helpful with other adhesive monitoring devices that use pressure-sensitive adhesives. Because adhesives and device designs vary, results may differ depending on the product being removed.
